In light of yesterday's post, I was hoping that today I could get your input on service and the people who have influenced you through and about service.
As I've said, I have been influenced by my parents, but I haven't talked too much about what service has meant to me, and the things that it has done in my life. Expect that next weekend!

My parents (neither of whom are Christian,) really brought me up with a servant attitude.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is just obsessed with serving others (it's like, in her DNA, something God created her with upon birth) and my dad really cares for others & is willing to help however he can.
So it sounds super cheesy, but Jesus changed my heart and how I view service. It's not just about helping others like my parents raised me with (though that is wonderful,) but a chance to actually serve my God :)
Very cool. I think a lot of times there is a connotation that people who aren't Christian are bad people, but I'm sure you would agree with me that it's a crazy idea!
